Bring home a living piece of the Barbican Conservatory at this special afternoon for Young Barbican Members (ages 16-29), with plant adoptions and interactive sessions.
Wayward Plants hosts a plant adoption session, sharing the stories and care needs of a wide range of specimens we have been propogating. While you're there, you can also visit the host plants from which cuttings have been taken and then take a plant to continue growing at home.
Earth Tenders lead drop-in sessions exploring memory, culture and healing through herbs with food and herbal collages and a sensory tea-blending station, designed to engage your senses and encourage reflection.
Artist and educator Lydia Boehm leads a drop-in botanical drawing workshop, inviting you to observe the leaves and vines around the Conservatory and create a drawing to take home. Before you go, add a leaf or vine to the community wall, growing something bigger together.
