Wayward Plants has mobilized hundreds of volunteers for our community builds, engaging local communities and beyond in skill-building including carpentry, gardening and the upcycling of recycled materials. People love to be part of the creative process, to create something with their hands and be part of a shared vision. By opening up the participatory building process, we ensure there is a lasting legacy of community involvement to care for and celebrate the spaces once they are open to the public.
